DON’T PANIC – WHY2025 Wiki Copyright & Licensing (v0.1)

This page explains the legal warp bubble that surrounds everything you read, edit, or accidentally summon on the WHY2025 Wiki. In plain language: if you add text, images, or diagrams of improbability-driven espresso machines, you agree to release them under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. That means fellow hitchhikers can copy, remix, and redistribute your brilliance—even for commercial use—so long as they credit you and share alike. Edit boldly, but remember that your words may one day be reproduced on strange planets where Vogon poetry is considered high art.

Content imported from elsewhere must already be compatible with CC‑BY‑SA 4.0, live in the public domain, or come with explicit permission. If you smuggle in proprietary blueprints or secret dolphin messages without clearance, expect a polite but firm removal followed by the sound of Marvin’s disappointed sigh.

Code snippets embedded in articles, templates, or gadgets hitch a ride under the GNU General Public License v3 unless stated otherwise. Feel free to fork, improve, or repurpose them to power your own improbability drives, but preserve the same freedom for future travellers.

If you spot material that breaks copyright faster than a hyperspace bypass, flag it on the talk page or notify the crew at info@ifcat.org. We’ll investigate faster than you can say “Beware of the Leopard” and, if necessary, vaporise the offending bits.

Note that external links on the wiki may point to realms governed by entirely different legal galaxies. Their content remains under their own licences; pack an interstellar lawyer if you plan heavy extraction.

By reading, editing, or otherwise interacting with the wiki you accept these terms. If that alarms you, place a towel over your head and back away slowly.

Version 0.1 – 16 July 2025 — updated whenever the laws of physics or copyright evolve.
