Team, Role Description
Team:Sponsors, Team member 2x

We're looking for people to help WHY2025 get enough sponsoring to keep the ticket prices affordable, whilst keeping the event fun and non-commercial.

  • You'll have intro calls with new potential sponsors, explain them how WHY2025 is fundamentally a non-commercial event, what are the limitations of sponsoring versus other conferences, and why it's such a great chance to connect with the community.
  • You'll keep track of the status of potential sponsors in a shared sheet.
  • You'll reach out to orgs you think might be interesting to have as a sponsors.
  • At the camp, you'll help answer ad-hoc questions from sponsors and help make sure sponsors are following the sponsor policy doc.
Team:Volunteers, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the sponsor team (currently interim'd by User:NancyBeers) Next to that also people to join the team.

Team:Accessibility, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the Accessibility team Next to that also people to join the team to make an more accessible festival.

Team:Waste, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the Waste team. Your first reaction might by "YUCK!". But it is really a wonderfull team to lead (or be in). You have full freedom in planning and organizing. You get all over the terrain and get to meet a lot of people. And everybody is happy with you! Previous experience is not required (actually it is a lovely startingfunction into organizing), just a problem solving attitude and being service minded. For questions, contact Manduca.

Team:Shuttle, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the Shuttle team. The shuttle is for a large amount of visitors their first encounter with the event. They are enthousiastic and full of energy. Realy a great vibe to have a van full of such people. For a lead you need good planning skills and espcially good people mangement skills. You need to take good care of your drivers, and be service oriented. Really rewarding job though! Not only when arriving, but also when you bring them back to the train. For questions, contact Manduca.

Team:Warehouse, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the Warehouse team. The warehouse is the epical center of all logistics movements. It is therefor also refered to as LHQ (Logistics Head Quarters). It centrally provides consumables (like duck-tape) and loans out tools and gear (wrenches, electric drils, bikes etc). Almost everything you need to make the event work with the exception of people. Do you like to be in the middle of the buzz and do you like to keep things organized, this is the team for you. For questions, contact Manduca.

Team:Off-site transportation, Team lead and members

We're looking for someone to lead the Off-site transportation team. Off-site transportation is the team that assists in geting stuff to the terrain (from hackerspaces, groothandels etc.) during build-up, and getting things back during break-down. Except for ad-hoc tasks you are mostly off duty during the event. As the team-lead you coordinate the pick-up and return requests and send the drivers (that get to drive nice lorries throughout the Netherlands) to there destinations. For drivers, a B-drivers license (car) is sufficient to drive the small lorries. Ability to carry stuff is a must. For questions, contact Manduca.
