Hi! It's Dany, with a dà, or Daniëlle in long form, But umlauts are hard, so Dany is fine. At WHY2025 I'm doing things for Team:Cohesion and Team:Content.
Personal statement regarding the Badge Team conflict.

Hallo WHY Mensen
Inmiddels zullen jullie wel hebben gehoord van het conflict rondom het WHY2025Badge project. In de afgelopen weken heb ik daar een rol in gespeeld. Hieronder een persoonlijk statement van mij over deze zaak:
Mijn intenties om in Cohesion te stappen waren om conflicten te voorkomen of waar nodig tot een goed einde te brengen. Om zo bij te dragen aan een sterke community en voor iedereen een leuk en veilig WHY2025.
Daarin heb ik gefaald. Big Time.
Daarvoor bied ik mijn verontschuldigingen aan. Aan iedereen die hierin betrokken is geraakt, of betrokken voelt. Van alleen sorry zeggen gaat de pijn niet weg, dat besef ik. Maar: het spijt me. Ik voel mij verantwoordelijk voor mijn aandeel in het ontstane conflict, daarvoor trek ik het boetekleed aan.
Naar PL heb ik, op persoonlijke titel, de wens uitgesproken tot een verzoeningspoging in het grotere conflict en ik ben van mening dat daarvoor een handreiking en compromis vanuit PL noodzakelijk is.
Mijn grootste wens op dit moment is dat alle betrokkenen openstaan voor hernieuwde dialoog met elkaar. Om samen boven dit conflict uit te kunnen groeien en volgend jaar met zijn allen een tof kamp te hebben.
Ik heb besloten om in elk geval voorlopig mijn werkzaamheden voor WHY2025 te staken. Ik voel dat ik eerst het vertrouwen van de vrijwilligers die werken aan het evenement, maar ook van de community als geheel terug moet verdienen. Voor ik verder kan in de teams waar ik deel van uitmaak: Cohesion en Content. Als ik er niet in slaag dat vertrouwen terug te verdienen zal ik mijn taken binnen de WHY2025 organisatie definitief neerleggen.
Ik ben vergevingsgezind ingesteld en geloof sterk dat er met gesprek, lering en groei enorm veel bereikt kan worden. Het breken en repareren van zaken is onderdeel van het geheel, met zichtbare littekens die in deze een wijze les representeren. Mijn vertrouwen in PL is door deze zaak beschadigd geraakt en ik sta open om dat te repareren samen met PL. Ik kan alleen maar hopen dat de andere betrokkenen in deze zaak, en de community als geheel, mij dezelfde gunst willen verlenen.

Hello WHY People
By now you will have heard about the conflict surrounding the WHY2025Badge project. In the past few weeks I have played a role in that. This is a personal statement about this all.
My intentions to join Cohesion were to prevent conflicts or to bring them to a successful conclusion where necessary. In this way I contribute to a strong community and a fun and safe WHY2025 for everyone.
I failed in that. Big Time.
I apologize for that. To everyone who has been involved in this, or feels involved. Just saying sorry will not make the pain go away, I realize that. But: I am sorry. I feel responsible for my part in the conflict that has arisen, for which I am putting on sackcloth and ashes.
To PL I have expressed, in my personal capacity, the wish for a reconciliation attempt in the larger conflict and I believe that an outreach and compromise from PL is necessary for that.
My greatest wish at this moment is that all parties involved are open to renewed dialogue with each other. To be able to grow above this conflict together and have a great camp together next year.
I have decided to stop my work for WHY2025 for the time being. I feel that I first have to earn back the trust of the volunteers who work on the event, but also of the community as a whole. Before I can continue in the teams I am part of: Cohesion and Content. If I do not succeed in earning back that trust, I will definitively resign from my duties within the WHY2025 organization.
I am a forgiving person and strongly believe that a lot can be achieved through conversation, learning and growth. Breaking and repairing things is part of the whole, with visible scars that represent a wise lesson in this. My trust in PL has been damaged by this case and I am open to repairing it together with PL. I can only hope that the other parties involved in this case, and the community as a whole, will grant me the same favor.

I'm fluent in Millenial, have good working knowledge of X and Boomer, speak a little Z, but only have a sparse few words of Alpha.

I'm working on Projects:Personal_Flair: getting enameled pins of the WHY2025 logo to show that I'm a WHY minded person. Hopefully as soon as possible and trying to get a (first?) batch before 38C3 or even before the December orga meet.
