Introduction
The terrain team has a number of interconnected tasks related to the terrain.
Most obviously, it fills in the festival map, making sure to keep in mind requirements (e.g. firelanes). We will coordinate with villages, and work with infrastructure teams to get everything to every field on the terrain.
In addition, we put the map on the territory. On the days before the festival, we mark out where the various infrastructure goes on the field and make sure vendors are informed. With this comes a lot of the early buildup.

Current State
WHY2025 will take place 11 days after liquicity 2025 (Timeline). So about a week after Liquicity 2024, we had a field day, and discovered that the southwest part of the field was in really bad state.
This part of the field had previously been considered prime real estate due to the flatness, the road going through it, and the infrastructure. There is a chance it will be in better shape in 2025, but we don't feel it's wise to count on it.
The mapping was delayed as we discussed the possibilities.
A new mapping session will take place on Sunday Sep 1. We hope to have one or more candidate rough drafts after that.
