Introduction
The terrain team takes care of all things related to the terrain, works on maps, make sure there are firelanes, coordinates with villages, and working with infrastructure teams to get everything to every field on the terrain.
Questions and feedback can be sent to the team: terrain@lists.mch2022.org
Procedure maken kaart
Uitkomsten terrein mapping sessie 13 juli 2024
Minutes
31 july 2024
The site has been visited post liquicity, 28th of july, to evaluate the damage done to the terrain by the festival. The date the images where made is about the same moment when we're already building up for three days.

Conclusions:
Rice fields
- Very usable to place tents up to 20x30 meters max
- No damage by liquicity: the fields are prestine
Main field / evenemententerrein / "the desert"
- See the three screenshots for damage made at liquicity festival, mostly pedestrian and teardown damage
- The map received by liquicity is correct, matching reality
- All grass will be shallow, with lots of pedestrian damage and tracks
- The main stage area and backstage area of liquicity are too damage to use: use the left side of the north field
- It's hard to reliably estimate what would be usable
- Bar3/Luna stage had most damage to the flooring, which needs to be flattened to place something over it.
- - It needs to be flattened, but first aid and other tents MIGHT be placed there (the more infra there is better)
- The fields that are used for large festival tents are not really usable in a reliable way
- The parts that we're able to use is about 25% on the main field **reliably**
- It's hard to rely on how damaged / whole the field would be next event
North Field
- See the screenshot
- Fields are in good condition, mostly usable, some water damage
- Tree hollow: Looks too small to realy be usable, only one entrance. Maybe a good place to put some tables/chairs so people can hang around
Triangle Oasis / Driehoekige Oase
- Would be very nice to use to compensate for damage of the main field
- Names: "de driehoek", "het buitenveld", "oase", "de appendix"
- No real damage, just camping/pedestrian damage
Because of the missing gras, the terrain will be muddy during rain. Therefore the liquicity event placed floor tiles on the main roads of 3 tiles wide on average. Very busy places it is more.
Todo list:
- Uglyhack: will visit the terrain at the possible impossible lounge area
- Redlicard: will talk to projectleiding about progress
- RedLizard: calculate the amount of space needed versus the space we have
- Todo: Calculate the number of floortiles/antiswamptiles needed and request offers, 5 meter x 0.5 meter.
- Escalate to Projectleiding: Why did they cover the tracktor pulling range?
- Escalate to Projectleiding: What does the cell-tower cost?
- Escalate to projectleiding: We want the same bridges liquicity, they can stay

Present: Redlizard, UglyHack, Rox, Boekenwuurm, Stitch Not Present: Nine, Gina
Todo List last time:
- Uglyhack: will visit the terrain at the possible impossible lounge area
Lounge part of the terrain is probably not really usable. There is one entrance, it's a sort of waste area. This will take a lot effort to clear.
Action: PL will ask terrain owner for access / clear access to this area.
- Redlizard: will talk to projectleiding about progress
There is a timeline. The NUTS team is requesting offers of tent suppliers that build up during the weekend. There might be more beer-tents due to easy flat flooring.
- RedLizard: calculate the amount of space needed versus the space we have
- Todo: Calculate the number of floortiles/antiswamptiles needed and request offers, 5 meter x 0.5 meter.
- Escalate to Projectleiding: Why did they cover the tracktor pulling range?
The coverup can be used to camp *on*. So we can use it and embed it.
- Escalate to Projectleiding: What does the cell-tower cost?
Still on action list of PL.
- Escalate to projectleiding: We want the same bridges liquicity, they can stay
Answer: Liquicity is eager to hand over stuff like bridges. PL will have a meet with them to see what can be transfered.
State of the terrain
The rest of the terrain has been flattened for re-use. PL is currently talking to the terrain supplier to start with flattening on *wednesday 30 july* day -8.
The parts of the terrain that where not flat have been flattened. But all the nice parts have been ruined by this process. So the owner needs to be instructed.
Action: PL will discuss with terrain supplier to flatten only the right parts, and not ruin the rest of the terrain for our use.is:expired-3 Action: Uglyhack will add photo's on the wiki. Action: PL is discussing the triangle oasis with the terrain owner
Consequences terrain status
We'll try some terrain plans.
Next physical meet: 1 sept 2024 @ hackalot Ad-hoc meet: 29th of August

heights
The terrain is interesting for terrain features. The rice fields in particular are hard to judge for height. But the team found a open data voxel height map data: https://ns_hwh.fundaments.nl/hwh-ahn/AHN_POTREE/index.html?position=[111377.71;522494.13;518.07;]&target=[111544.28;523018.06;-317.24;
