Part of Logistics Cluster
Introduction
On-site Logistics is responsible for all transport of materials (not people) on the terrain. We will do this by hand, handcart, bike, golfcart or forklift. We do not transport stuff for villages or visitors. Additionally this team coordinates everything that is rented from Boels.
Logistics operates some heavy material that is potentially lethal. Therefor this is an exclusive team with regard to forklift drivers. This means you can not be in any other team. Forklift drivers are pre-selected, and trained before the event(obliged). Nobody else will be allowed to drive forklifts during the event (tent-builder-companies exempted). Fork-lift drivers are expected to be available from early build-up to late tear-down and the work starts as early as 06:30. This is not the team for you if you like to chill-out until late (although we can accomodate some off-time during the event). As this is a heavy hard working team, we will pay extra attention to your well-being and take good care of you. And you get to drive nice forklifts of course.
Beside drivers we also need some (core-)volunteering hands for some manual lifting, assisting forklift drivers, maintaining safety and/or delivering of small goods by gator.
Boels
Boels is a big rental company supplying us with all the tables chairs fridges we could ever need. (also gators, forklifts, telehandlers, fencing and lights. you name it they rent it)
The compleet orderlist is kept in a google docs file and updated when needed. A deadline for all orders will be set in the future. Please note that at this point in time the orderlist is mostly a copy pasta from MCH2022 and will be updated.
Manduca and fighterx64 are organizing the Boels orders for teams (villages have to go trough Moebelhaus). For the current status check [Boels order]
KAV
KAV is a car rental company we often use for people movers and small trucks.
Shuttle
A total of six vans should be enough. Of which one is usable with wheelchairs. Idea is to use 9 person vans, as people traveling with a train don't have much luggage. Electric is the same price as diesel, so we choose electric :).
Off-site logistics and Moebelhaus
Going to use small trucks for this that can be driven with a B-license. They have a slightly bigger one, but that is more than slightly more expensive. Need two for off-site and one for moebelhaus
