Team Members
What does Team:Deco do?
The Deco team provides decorations and signage.
- The decorations serve to make the event look good in a coherent way; we use (among other things) signs and lighting objects. Our goal is to welcome people and make them feel happy to be at the event.
- The signage is meant to look pretty, but in the first place it gives information and helps people find their way.
- The lighting we provide is mostly meant to look pretty, but it will also help you find your way in the dark. It could be described as decorative lighting, which also helps with orientation. We do not guarantee that no one will trip and fall. We do not provide 'street lights'.
The Deco team does not provide
- Design (except for the projects we create ourselves)
- Functional lighting (except for when we do)
- Flags (that's Team:Flags)
- Printed goods for other teams to use

Jitsi meeting Mar 3 2025
Agenda:

- Moem : PL extra tent: met Bookenwurm gesproken: Niet onmogelijk, ook niet afgesproken. Raad aan Auke contact op te nemen met team volunteers. AP voor Govert om dit aan Auke mede te delen.

Jitsi meeting Feb 17 2025
Minutes:
- WHY2025 sign: the 'why' will be made of dryer hoses with lights in it, the '2025' will be a seven-segment clock display made out of TL-'bakken' with leds in it.
- AP for everyone: put your name in the 'team members' section when you participate this year.
- AP for everyone: create projects that you want/will be working on this year (we'll discuss this next meeting).
- AP for everyone: Put all the artists you want to contact in the section below (called 'contact artists'), we'll discuss in the upcoming ~2 meetings when we start contacting them, based on wants/needs and budget.
- Recurring meeting: Monday every two weeks from 19:30-20:00 (with creative discussions afterwards; if desired). Next meeting: 3rd of March!

Jitsi meeting Oct 10 2024
Minutes:
- Present are Roel, Moem, SA007, Hoxolotl, Boekenwuurm and NightOwlNL.
- We think about the lecterns. The old ones may not all be alive anymore and we will need more anyway. SA007 knows someone who may have suitable frames that can be made into lecterns. NightowlNL has ideas about lighting them up and using diffuse film. To be continued!
- WHYletters. Maybe time for a new idea. Moem likes the idea of making them inflatable, like those 'dancers' made from fabric. They can also be lit up from the inside, Boekenwuurm has done this before.
- There is Christmas shit all over the stores right now. Let's think about stuff we can use for the event and that is easy to get currently.
- Money. We need to work on a more solid budget. Boekenwuurm informs us that the same budget as previously, with 10% inflation correction, is something that should not be problematic. We believe that we can work with that. It would however be good to specify our projects, budget-wise.
- In the interest of everyone's health and sanity, we cut the meeting short at 30 mins. The next one is planned for November 14. In the meantime, please help fill in the wiki!

Minutes:
- Present are Roel, Moem, SA007, Hoxolotl and NightOwlNL.
- There is a house style. We love it.
- We decide on monthly Jitsi meetings: every month 2nd thursday at 20:00 Amsterdam time.
