Definition of team Cohesion
Team cohesion exists to enable people to be together harmoniously.
It ensures an event without conflicts, mutual respect, and openness to each other's insights and challenges.
In practice, in most non-immediately threatening situations, team Cohesion is deployed first before Security is called in.
Contacting Team Cohesion
If you need to talk to someone about *anything* related to WHY2025 you can always reach out to us, before, during and after the event per e-mail at cohesion@why2025.org (more ways of communication to be added). This really can be about anything, from code of conduct violations, if you just need to vent a little, want to speak to a confidant (vertrouwenspersoon), everything is fine. We will keep your information confidential and won't share it with anyone outside the Cohesion team unless you we are allowed to do so.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain & ensuring the Code of Conduct (CoC)
- Responsible for silent lounge at the event
- Confidential advisors (in Dutch: vertrouwenspersoon)
- Escalation & de-escalation channel
- "Manager on duty" > If someone shouts: "I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER!", then team Cohesion is on it's way
- Makes sure that everyone is excellent to each other
- A safe haven for people who are overworked / overstimulated / in need of emotional support
