Team Capture the Flag (Team:CTF) organizes the official onsite WHY2025 Capture The Flag as well as the Secret Token challenge. We further do the coordination of other onsite CTFs, onsite games and scavenger hunts. Our goal is to have all parties on the event know of each others gaming activities, potentially work together and mostly to not compete against each other for players. In case you want to organize a CTF on WHY2025 or any kind of onsite interactive gaming activity please let us know.
CTF
The CTF will be available both onsite and online, but will again have a strong focus on the onsite players including onsite only challenges. More information about the CTF can be found on the WHY2025 CTF website: https://ctf.why2025.org/
The same team which organizes the WHY2025 CTF activities has also done this on MCH2022, SHA2017 and OHM2013.
WHY2025 Secret Tokens challenge
During MCH2022 the CTF team organized a second activity next to the CTF. This activity was the Secret Token challenge. The Secret Token challenge consisted of hidden tokens which could be found all over the MCH2022 field. A large part of the orga helped out with creating and hiding secret tokens, for example in the flags, the parking card, at the first aid and digitally in the website and DNS.

For a small part of the secret tokens on MCH2022 you first had to solve a mini puzzle to get the token.
On WHY2025 the secret tokens will return, but this time we will hide every token behind a mini puzzle or game. Team CTF will once again take care of organizing the Secret Token challenge for WHY2025, but we would like to work with the rest of the orga to create mini puzzles inspired by each of the teams.

CTF tent
During WHY2025 we will once again host the CTF tent in the CTF Village where visitors are welcome to participate in the CTF during the event.
Activities
The team will be taking care of the following activities:
- Creating the onsite + online CTF environments
- Creating all challenges for the CTF
- Hosting and creating the Secret Token challenges
- Preparing and hosting the CTF village & CTF tent
- Coordination of other onsite CTF and gaming activities
