The IFCAT Foundation (International Festivals for Creative Application of Technology) is a Dutch non-profit (ANBI status, founded in 2011) that provides the legal and financial backbone for the quadrennial Dutch hacker camps, such as OHM2013, SHA2017, MCH2022, and now WHY2025. The volunteer board handles contracts, oversees the central budget, and ensures full transparency by publishing all policy and annual financial reports. This allows each camp’s organizing teams to focus fully on content, infrastructure, and community. Any surplus funds are reinvested into future camps and grassroots hacker initiatives.
