For the hypothetical demoparty with Wild entries organized by the [https://wiki.why2025.org/Village:Demoscene Village Demoscene]

We ([[User:Xylitol|Xylitol]], [[User:Gadget_MCS|Gadget_MCS]], Lou) plan to walk around the campsite with a Game Boy Camera to capture the spirit of the event and create a demo from it.

We’re aware of the camp rules regarding photo and video, so the first days of the project will be spent asking villages for permission to film.

Since we don’t have a direct mailing list for communication, we’ll reach out in person to see which villages would like to participate.

If your village has something interesting to showcase and you'd like to be featured in the demo, feel free to contact us or edit this page to add your village.

You can contact Xylitol by calling 2077, visiting Village Lambda, or spotting the nerd with short hair and a Game Boy T-shirt wandering around.

Filming will most likely take place in the afternoons, since the Game Boy Camera requires good lighting and doesn't perform well in low-light conditions.

The exact filming schedule will depend on the submission deadline for the FieldFX demoparty, as we aim to complete the demo in time for the event.

We already have a reference track in mind that we will use, but if we receive something original, preferably in a calm, lo-fi guitar style we’d be happy to feature your track instead!

WHY2025 will have a Secret Token Game, just like we had on MCH2022, but even more awesome this time. The Secret Token Game is a game where visitors of WHY2025 can find hidden tokens all over the WHY2025 campsite, digital systems, websites, or just a random place related to WHY2025. These tokens can be found in plaintext, may be part of a puzzle, or can be encoded or obfuscated.

The Secret Token challenge is a scavenger hunt kind of game which has been inspired by the Bornhack secret token game. For MCH2022 we decided to create our own version of this game (https://mch2022.org/#/Blog/ctf-secret-tokens-statistics) and now we bring it back for WHY2025. Participants are invited to try to find as many tokens as possible and try to get the high-score on the scoreboard.

All of the tokens match the following format: secret{######}, with `######` being between 4 and 64 alphanumeric characters. For example: secret{ThisOneIsOnTheWiki}.

During WHY2025 the Secret Tokens that you found can be submitted at https://tokens.why2025.org/.

== Contributing Secret Tokens ==

The overall organisation of the Secret Token Game is in the hands of [[Team:CTF]] but tokens are and can be created and hidden by all of the orga teams and villages.

One of the goals of the Secret Token Game this time is to have players visit multiple locations on the field, and to get to know the teams who make this event possible. This time we will try to hide most of the tokens behind a mini puzzle or game. [[Team:CTF]] will work with the other orga teams to create mini puzzles inspired by each of the teams. We provide templates to create puzzles, you can find these templates below.

We are hereby inviting all of the orga teams, villages or even individuals to join the Secret Token Game as a contributor. If you can think of a nice, entertaining or cool way to add a Secret Token to the game we invite you to submit the tokens via the following form: https://token.why2025.org/submit-token

Please do note that we will check each of the submissions to see if the submitted tokens fit the overall challenge.

WHY2025 will have a Secret Token Game, just like we had on MCH2022, but even more awesome this time. The Secret Token Game is a game where visitors of WHY2025 can find hidden tokens all over the WHY2025 campsite, digital systems, websites, or just a random place related to WHY2025. These tokens can be found in plaintext, may be part of a puzzle, or can be encoded or obfuscated.

The Secret Token challenge is a scavenger hunt kind of game which has been inspired by the Bornhack secret token game. For MCH2022 we decided to create our own version of this game (https://mch2022.org/#/Blog/ctf-secret-tokens-statistics) and now we bring it back for WHY2025. Participants are invited to try to find as many tokens as possible and try to get the high-score on the scoreboard.

All of the tokens match the following format: secret{######}, with `######` being between 4 and 64 alphanumeric characters. For example: secret{ThisOneIsOnTheWiki}.

During WHY2025 the Secret Tokens that you found can be submitted at https://tokens.why2025.org/.

== Contributing Secret Tokens ==

The overall organisation of the Secret Token Game is in the hands of [[Team:CTF]] but tokens are and can be created and hidden by all of the orga teams and villages.

One of the goals of the Secret Token Game this time is to have players visit multiple locations on the field, and to get to know the teams who make this event possible. This time we will try to hide most of the tokens behind a mini puzzle or game. [[Team:CTF]] will work with the other orga teams to create mini puzzles inspired by each of the teams. We provide templates to create puzzles, you can find these templates below.

We are hereby inviting all of the orga teams, villages or even individuals to join the Secret Token Game as a contributor. WHY2025 will have a Secret Token Game, just like we had on MCH2022, but even more awesome this time. The Secret Token Game is a game where visitors of WHY2025 can find hidden tokens all over the WHY2025 campsite, digital systems, websites, or just a random place related to WHY2025. These tokens can be found in plaintext, may be part of a puzzle, or can be encoded or obfuscated.

The Secret Token challenge is a scavenger hunt kind of game which has been inspired by the Bornhack secret token game. For MCH2022 we decided to create our own version of this game (https://mch2022.org/#/Blog/ctf-secret-tokens-statistics) and now we bring it back for WHY2025. Participants are invited to try to find as many tokens as possible and try to get the high-score on the scoreboard.

All of the tokens match the following format: secret{<[A-Za-z0-9]{4,64}>}, for example: secret{ThisOneIsOnTheWiki}.

During WHY2025 the Secret Tokens that you found can be submitted at https://tokens.why2025.org/.

The overall organisation of the Secret Token Game is in the hands of [[Team:CTF]] but tokens are and can be created and hidden by all of the orga teams and villages.

One of the goals of the Secret Token Game this time is to have players visit multiple locations on the field, and to get to know the teams who make this event possible. This time we will try to hide most of the tokens behind a mini puzzle or game. [[Team:CTF]] will work with the other orga teams to create mini puzzles inspired by each of the teams. We provide templates to create puzzles, you can find these templates below.

We are hereby inviting all of the orga teams, villages or even individuals to join the Secret Token Game as a contributor. If you can think of a nice, entertaining or cool way to add a Secret Token to the game we invite you to submit the tokens via the following form: https://token.why2025.org/submit-token

Please do note that we will check each of the submissions to see if the submitted tokens fit the overall challenge.

WHY2025 will have a Secret Token Game, just like we had on MCH2022, but even more awesome this time. The Secret Token Game is a game where visitors of WHY2025 can find hidden tokens all over the WHY2025 campsite, digital systems, websites, or just a random place related to WHY2025. These tokens can be found in plaintext, may be part of a puzzle, or can be encoded or obfuscated.

The Secret Token challenge is a scavenger hunt kind of game which has been inspired by the Bornhack secret token game. For MCH2022 we decided to create our own version of this game (https://mch2022.org/#/Blog/ctf-secret-tokens-statistics) and now we bring it back for WHY2025. Participants are invited to try to find as many tokens as possible and try to get the high-score on the scoreboard.

All of the tokens match the following format: secret{<[A-Za-z0-9]{4,64}>}, for example: secret{ThisOneIsOnTheWiki}.

During WHY2025 the Secret Tokens that you found can be submitted at https://tokens.why2025.org/.

== CTF ==

The CTF will be available both onsite and online, but will again have a strong focus on the onsite players including onsite only challenges. More information about the CTF can be found on the WHY2025 CTF website: https://ctf.why2025.org/

The same team which organizes the '''WHY2025''' CTF activities has also done this on MCH2022, SHA2017 and OHM2013.

== WHY2025 Secret Tokens challenge ==

During MCH2022 the CTF team organized a second activity next to the CTF. This activity was the Secret Token challenge. The Secret Token challenge consisted of hidden tokens which could be found all over the MCH2022 field. A large part of the orga helped out with creating and hiding secret tokens, for example in the flags, the parking card, at the first aid and digitally in the website and DNS.

For a small part of the secret tokens on MCH2022 you first had to solve a mini puzzle to get the token.

On WHY2025 the secret tokens will return, but this time we will try to hide most of the tokens behind a mini puzzle or game. Team CTF will once again take care of organizing the Secret Token challenge for WHY2025, but we would like to work with the rest of the orga to create mini puzzles inspired by each of the teams.
