The print seems not able to resist a dishwasher, and some reports even say a hand wash damaged the print.

Please note that we ordered the mugs to be able to withstand dishwashing.

Another issues, albeit minor, is that we seem to have ordered not enough mugs. Please put your name on the list below if you'd like a mug as well, providing the quality is acceptable this time.

We have been in touch with the manufacturer over the last week. While we haven't reached a full solution yet, they are recognising it as a manufacturing defect on their end. We can't make any comments or promises on what exactly the final solution will entail, but we're still working on it :)

Finally, more news about the #why2025 #mugs. We have reached an agreement with the supplier, but we can’t just send them to other people’s homes. Instead we’re intending to distribute them across the local hackerspaces for pickup, the exact details are in the works! After we’ve verified a sample to be actually up to spec we’ll launch a form for people to enter their shipping preferences. Won’t be long!

As for the promised update about the #why2025 #mugs. We have published a form that allows people to request a replacement. Once again, I apologise for this all taking incredibly long. There's a lot still in the works...

If you are affected, please fill out this form. Please do know that we require a picture of your mug as proof of purchase. It doesn't have to be damaged to be replaced.

Milliways is a big group of information security specialists at hacker camps. We bring big infrastructure which we plan and build ourselves.

However, pins are a bit more expensive than stickers and I can't afford to give away large quantities of pins for free.

I am in the process of getting quotes from vendors but I expect the price to be somewhere around € 2,00 to € 5,00 a piece depending on the order quantity. * 08-11-2024: The price is looking to be reasonable. First quote is in and based on an order of 200 pcs the price comes to € 2,02 per pin (29mm big).
* 11-11-2024: First Order of 200 pins is confirmed. These will be 'cold enamel' style, which is more of a printing like appearance.
* 11-11-2024: A second vendor has quoted a price for 'hot enamel' style, these are nicer, but also much more expensive at €4,35 per pin when ordered in a 200 quantity. Dropping closer to the €2 mark (which I find reasonable) when ordering 500+ pieces. For now doing an advance order for around a €1000 is too rich for me. So I leave that in reserve for the future or defer it to the Merch team.

Yeah, y'know, The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe? 
Milliways is a big group of information security specialists at hacker camps. We bring big infrastructure which we plan and build ourselves. 
The intercontinental logistics include self constructed installations. We provide a space for discussions and networking. 
We feed hundreds of hackers with self-cooked food out of our self-built infrastructure. Milliways has appeared on several hacker camps in Europe and in North America and has been in existence since 2003.

Milliways is a big group of information security specialists at hacker camps. We bring big infrastructure which we plan and build ourselves. 
The intercontinental logistics include self constructed installations. We provide a space for discussions and networking. 
We feed hundreds of hackers with self-cooked food out of our self-built infrastructure. Milliways has appeared on several hacker camps in Europe and in North America and has been in existence since 2003.
