'''Keep Ukraine Connected''' is also present, well known as one of the projects of the late Erik Bais. We miss him a lot, especially now. Sander will be there to explain all about the foundation and the current outlook.
=== Wheels for volunteers ===

=== A quiet place to read and talk ===

In the village you will find a nice and quiet place to read and talk about life in wartime and the aid we have been able to sent so far. We have books, photos and posters explaining what we do and have done so far.

=== Activities ===

At the Village there is always something to see and do. We have a permanent exhibition and quiet reading corner, but you can join in activities. Every day there is a Stop the Bleed training, to gain the same first aid skills as most Ukrainians have had to. You can send a message or colorful drawing (kids welcome!) by Chaospost (https://wiki.why2025.org/Project:Chaos_Post) to the people in Ukraine or watch one of the documentaries on the current situation.
Thanks to the cool people at Movies That Matter https://moviesthatmatter.nl/ we can show the story of Alisa Kovalenko, My Dear Théo, with messages she sent from the front to her family:

'''My Dear Théo'''

''Alisa Kovalenko''

A moving and personal documentary by filmmaker Alisa Kovalenko, who made a profound choice in 2022: while her partner and their four-year-old son left for France, she joined the Ukrainian army. During four months at the front, she wrote letters to her son Theo and recorded her experiences in a cinematic diary.

In My Dear Théo, Kovalenko, known for the documentaries Home Games and We Will Not Fade Away, which were screened at film festivals worldwide, swaps her role as a filmmaker for that of a soldier. In poetic, deeply moving letters to her son, she reflects on the harsh realities of war and her search for humanity amid violence and loss. The letters, which were later recorded, form a rare and powerful contrast to the raw images of the war zone: they capture both existential angst and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.

With her intimate and confrontational images, Kovalenko blurs the line between personal and collective history. My Dear Théo is not only a record of struggle and survival, but also a timeless testament to love, hope and human resilience.
Deeply touching fiction-documentary hybrid, looking at the war in Ukraine through the eyes of two children in search of a ray of light. Niki (12) and Vika (11) meet in the underground subway tunnels where their families hide from Russian bombs. ‘A positive attitude can help you forget everything.’

On a cold February morning, 12-year-old Niki and his family arrive at the Kharkiv metro station to take shelter from the terrifying war raging outside. For Niki’s family, daylight is synonymous with mortal danger, and the boy is not allowed to leave the station premises, living under the constant glow of their neon lights. While aimlessly wandering around the abandoned cars and full platforms, Niki meets Vika (11), and a new world opens up to him. As their bond strengthens, the children find the courage once again to feel the sun on their faces.

Slovakian filmmaker duo Ivan Ostrochovský and Pavol Pekarčík choose the path of hope rather than despondency to depict the tragedy of war: a nice man sings lyrics about love, while two children look towards the sky and their future.

Even though it is not the first thing you might need, learning this skill gives you a good feel for the situation in cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv.

=== Registration ===

Registration is at the Village! We have about 10-15 places for each session

=== What will I learn? ===

Tatiana and her assistant Niels will show you to apply a tourniquet, how to apply hemostatic gauzes in bleeding wounds and how to apply pressure bandage.

And you can try all of it yourself with training tourniquets, rubber fake wounds with red fluid and training pressure bandages!

=== How should I prepare? ===

Don't put on your most expensive dress. We have suits to keep your clothes kinda clean, but no warranty. For sure it will be messy, but it will be fun!

=== Can I support this? ===

Yes for sure! If you want to support our foundation Aid to Ukraine, you can donate towards stop the bleed-kits which we will bring to Kharkiv.

As their bond strengthens, the children find the courage once again to feel the sun on their faces.

=== A quiet place to read and talk ===

In the village you will find a nice and quiet place to read and talk about life in wartime and the aid we have been able to sent so far. We have books, photos and posters explaining what we do and have done so far.

=== Activities ===

= Stop the Bleed - practical skills for daily life in Ukraine =

In Ukraine, instead of reanimation, most people learn how to stop the bleed, to deal with the aftermath of attacks.

Even though it is not the first thing you might need, learning this skill gives you a good feel for the situation in cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv.

=== Registration ===

Registration is at the Village! We have about 10-15 places for each session

=== What will I learn? ===

=== How should I prepare? ===

Don't put on your most expensive dress. We have suits to keep your clothes kinda clean, but no warranty. For sure it will be messy, but it will be fun!

=== Can I support this? ===

Yes for sure! If you want to support our foundation Aid to Ukraine, you can donate towards stop the bleed-kits which we will bring to Kharkiv.
In Ukraine, instead of reanimaion, most people learn how to stop the bleed, to deal with the aftermath of attacks. Even though it is not the first thing you might need, learning this skill gives you a good feel for the situation in cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv. Registration is at the Village!

Tatiana and Niels will show you to apply a tourniquet, how to apply hemostatic gauzes in bleeding wounds and how to apply pressure bandage.

And you can try all of it yourself with training tourniquets, rubber fake wounds with red fluid and training pressure bandages!

It will be messy, but it will be fun! We have suits to keep your clothes kinda clean as well, but no warranty :-)

And if you want to support our foundation, you can donate towards stop the bleed-kits which we will bring to Kharkiv.
'''Keep Ukraine Connected''' is also present, well known as one of the projects of the late Erik Bais. We miss him a lot, especially now. Sander will be there to explain all about the foundation and the current outlook.
=== A quiet place to read and talk ===

In the village you will find a nice and quiet place to read and talk about life in wartime and the aid we have been able to sent so far. We have books, photos and posters explaining what we do and have done so far.

=== Activities ===

At the Village there is always something to see and do. We have a permanent exhibition and quiet reading corner, but you can join in activities. Every day there is a Stop the Bleed training, to gain the same first aid skills as most Ukrainians have had to. You can send a message or colorful drawing (kids welcome!) to the people in Ukraine or watch one of the documentaries on the current situation.
'''Keep Ukraine Connected''' is also present, well known as one of the projects of the late Erik Bais. We miss him a lot, especially now. Sander will be there to explain all about the foundation and the current outlook.
Donate for the Land Rover Discovery so it can be used by volunteers in Kharkiv. It costs E5000 including the prep by the garage. Every day we'll announce how far we've come. Donations can be done through the ANBI stichting Aid to Ukraine (https://aidtoukraine.nl)
=== A quiet place to read and talk ===

In the village you will find a nice and quiet place to read and talk about life in wartime and the aid we have been able to sent so far. We have books, photos and posters explaining what we do and have done so far.

=== Activities ===

For sure come to our talk! At the Village there is also enough to see and do. You can join in activities such as a Stop the Bleed training, to gain the same first aid skills as most Ukrainians have had to. You can send a message or colorful drawing (kids welcome!) to the people in Ukraine or watch one of the documentaries on the current situation.
We would like the Ukraine tents opposite of the party area bar (to the west of the terrace area) so that it is close to Area 42/DIVD village wich helps to man the stand.

We also want to put up a 3mx4m movie screen next to the tent facing the bar terrace and show nerd movies there in the evenings/nights when the party area goes silent so people can watch from the terrace.
= Help out and send aid to Ukraine =

Join our community-effort to send aid to Ukraine. Together with our friends from the IT sector in Ukraine we send cars, medical supplies and IT + energy equipment to Ukraine. We are always on the lookout for (used) equipment, donations and help that we have not thought of yet :-)

Oh, and around 18h we usually have Vareniki <3 https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/varenyky

=== Wheels for volunteers ===

Check out the Land Rover Discovery which we hope to finance together so it can be used by volunteers in Kharkiv. It costs E5000 including the prep by the garage, and every day we'll announce how far we've come.

=== Activities ===
