make some simple rube goldberg machines, show some simple principles to build them like:
- using a slope
- using a lever
- using a screw
- using an anchor
then split kids in groups (5-8 per table) and ask them to solve a simple puzzle (like put a ball in the goal) using as many steps they can imagine.
Time required
1 hour should be fine so everybody has a chance to build some simple contraptions
kids that are more interested can after build larger contraptions in the playground, or maybe there is a tent available ?

- Dominoes (10 per table) or something similar
- ping pong balls (5 per table)
- plastic rulers (5 per table)
- string
- silver tape
- wooden sticks (like for icecream or sth)
- plastic spoons or similar
- plastic cups
- marbles
- cardboard
